iOS App
I think an iOS app would be awesome. I especially like the idea of being able to look at admin stats and charts right on my iPhone.
We have an iOS app in the app store that has some basic functionality around looking customers, creating customers, and paying invoices. More functionality will be added on/around a monthly schedule. In the next few weeks we’ll have invoice edit-ability, then we’ll start on adding tickets!
Update: December 4, 2015
1.6 is out, it includes invoice create/edit.
Update: January 7th, 2016
Version 1.7 is out with strong offline support.
Version 1.8 will come in 4~ weeks with some bug fixes and performance improvements
:: Update March 1, 2016 ::
Version 1.8.1 was just released fixing the hanging after swiping a card
Version 2.0 will be next with Ticket support!
(estimated around mid-April)
:: Update March 31 2016 ::
We have internal betas with Tickets working, it should be a couple more weeks to get it submitted at this point. Just finalizing searches/custom fields/etc
:: Update April 13th 2016 ::
Version 2.0 just landed, it has the first version of our Tickets module. You can edit tickets, use the timer, etc – you can’t create tickets yet – coming soon.
Also coming soon is ticket charges.
:: Update May 17th 2016 :
Bug Fix just released, should fix 6s and 6s plus phones.
Also added ticket charges

Any ETA for an app for the Android users out there? We're excited for all this good stuff too!
-
Thanks for the feedback Aaron - we'll be looking at all of these details over time for sure. It's great that our small company with a single ios developer can be compared to a giant company like Xero :)
We'll do what we can to continually improve the experience.. It's not a webview, but it does need lots of fine tuning.

I've had a play around with the current app.
Can I suggest that you try and stick to stand iOS app design conventions - swiping back to previous screen, Touch ID to unlock, 1Password/Last Pass integration, standard extension panel.
Touch ID would offer a layer of protection since our customer information contains sensitive information. 1Password would allow me to create and use very long secure passwords.
The current app feels more like a webview, which I suspect it is, but I feel like the whole thing would be slicker if I was built on iOS standard frameworks.
Have a look at the Xero app as a good example of a web based service that employs iOS standards for the app.

I have downloaded RS on 3 different devices all 8.2 and higher and the app crashes right when I open it. Any idea what could be the issue?

I'm so very excited for ticket support in the iOS app. That and more actions that don't take you out of the app and into the mobile site are welcome. I have like 20 RS tabs open at any given time :)

When refreshing the invoice page some times all the invoices a duplicated on the screen
It just happens randomlyAlso if I want to view an invoice or customer I need to double click extremely fast to view it
Most the time I can't seem to open them at all -
What would using touch ID help with?
The app remembers you already.. It's not going to log you out. Why would you want this?

+1 for Touch ID support

That blank invoice screen bug should be fixed in about 5 minutes - thanks for letting us know!

I just downloaded the app on an iPad mini, latest version and when I go to view or edit an invoice, the output is blank. I've uninstalled/reinstalled, rebooted the iPad mini, and I can still view the list of invoices but when I open or edit the invoices they are still blank. I've downloaded all customers, cleared cache, and still just a blank screen when I choose an invoice to view or edit.
Is there anything else I can do?

Can you please enable an email-address-specific keyboard on the sign-in page?
Otherwise, amazing! I love the app and can't wait until we are on board with Mercury.
Also, can't wait until tickets are available in the app.

Please allow copying of a contact's phone numbers and address by pressing and holding on them when viewing a contact's details and selecting "Copy" as works throughout the rest of iOS.
I use a Bria on my iPhone to call my contacts, and not being able to copy and paste numbers from the app into Bria, only being able to use the built-in iOS dialer makes the app almost useless to me.
As an added feature request, create a setting in the app to customize the phone and address button urls, or at least which app they use. That way I could customize my phone numbers to automatically open in Bria when clicking "Call", and could choose between Apple and Google maps for addresses.

I updated the estimates since a new version was just released a couple days ago - thanks!
