    All I can say with confidence is that for cell phone repair, the currently integrated suppliers are insanely overpriced and we would never use them. More options would certainly be welcomed.

    We are kind of moving toward just doing the product labels on the Purchase Order when you receive product, the more powerful labels will only be there so you can have more data on them.

    Are you using purchase orders?

    @troy then what happens if you need to reprint a label after the fact?
    Say one gets ripped off or you send a part to another store and they replace it later?

    That would be SOOOOOOO handy. Better yet, a checkbox beside items and a "Print Checked" button.

    Another thing that would be really handy is to have an "Add to print queue" button. Since there isn't really a way to print a assembled or collected list of items. Its easy enough to print all your iPhone inventory if you just go to Inventory and search "iPhone" it will spit out a list that you can print all the labels. But, what if you need a list of a bunch of random things like 4 or five different iPhone LCD's, Some Samsung Galaxy S3, 4, and 5 charge ports etc...?
    That is not doable.
    But, if there was a small button beside each item in the inventory list page that was to add to print queue, then there could be a page somewhere that would have all the things you added to the queue.

    Another thing I always found lacking is the following;
    If you use square labels as we do on some of our inventory and many accessories, there is no option to print the square label from the inventory item editing page.
    So if you make a change to an item you have to save it, exit the item page, search the item in the inventory list page and make sure it is the only item that comes up in the search and then click the "All Labels PDF (Square)" button to print the label for the item you just made or edited.

    Hey everyone – we have added the “Sync to QuickBooks Online” bit for beta_testers, if you are not a beta tester currently, you will get this feature in a couple weeks. We are not accepting new beta testers at this time.

    For those of you that are beta testers, please visit QuickBooks settings in RepairShopr and select your Accounts Payable account for PO’s to sync to in QB and let us know here in the comments what feedback you have for it!

    Thanks!

    Is it just us that are having major issues with the back order system?

    It never sees to have the right data/quantities.

    Item number one in the new updates is;
    Purchase Orders just got a new PDF and Email template. There is also a new template tag in them called {{purchase_order_line_item_rows_no_price}} that will leave out the expected price.

    Can someone please tell me how we make this work?
    I have tried to edit the PO Template many many times and no matter what I do the end result ends all mixed up and formatted incorrectly.
    Also, correct me if I am wrong, but even if the PO no longer lists the unit prices, isn't the total PO amount going to still be there?
    Thanks

    YES YES YES YES YES PLEASE!!!!!
    Every retailer I have ever gone to that collects this type of statistical data does so by collecting Postal codes. Not by asking for peoples full address. Customers almost never want to give out their full address for what seems like no good reason and I don't blame them.

    Daniel – Domo has spent many millions of dollars building amazing technology to pull that off. We could have added a report here and there, and would always have people complaining – or – buy domo and integrate.

    Domo was very expensive, we are going to continue losing money on it. We added it for those people that need more powerful reporting because we would never have been able to build something as nice as they have.

    Just like we won’t build accounting, so we integrate QB and Xero.

    In the MSP space there are reporting systems out there that people pay a lot of money to hook into the big PSAs. We were able to accomplish the same type of reporting for a fraction of the price – and we are proud of it.

    The going rate for a reporting system like what we are giving in domo is…

    @Troy -
    "we are doing a lot of meaningful development in Domo"

    I think that statement quantifies exactly what Daniel is trying to say. Domo costs the users more money. More money that not all users are willing to or even able to pay.
    I have looked into Domo and given what it would add to our platform, for us, I don't feel that it has enough value.
    If we had more staff and/or more locations I think that may be another story.
    Also, I think the data that Domo is working with could be better and some of that is on us and the way we use RS and some of that is on RS and how its is designed.

    That statement could read a completely different way: , We are doing a lot of meaningful development. In Domo.

    On a accompanying note, the most attractive feature of Domo (to us) is the feature to export the data as a PowerPoint show BUT so far that feature of Domo has never worked. The button is there but if ever we try to use it it just says the feature is not currently functional.

    This is exactly the same thought I had when Domo integration was announced. I am sure that this will be the end of any meaningful development on reporting.

    @Curtis: I keep telling Robert in Troy that in a joking manner, but thank you for agreeing. My real job as owner of a big chain company is to make our process simple and efficient. All of the ideas and suggestions I make are geared towards making that happen.

    Was just looking through some of the popular ideas and it occurred to me how odd and out of place this comment from Ryan seems now that my original comments and profile have been banned.

    Hi Caleb,
    Please have a search through the Feedback listings. This has been suggested and mentioned many times in various formats. Perhaps you may consider moving this vote to an already established suggestion that has more votes.

    I talked to tawk.to, it sounds like there isn’t a way to do this right now – but they are building a ticket system now. They told me when the ticket system is out, we should be able to integrate to that. So you would make a ticket in tawk.to, and that could create a ticket in RS – it’s a bit fuzzy until they ship it.

    You can follow that progress here:

    We just integrated Tawk.to into our website. I am so impressed with this.
    One of the most feature rich platforms, comes with apps and its free. Doesn't get any better really.
