Solution for mobile techs with no signal/data
Not sure how it can be done - some form of basic offline android/apple app or a local host web applet but often/nearly all the time I'm on the road I have no data connection. It would be great for me if I could have the basic functionality of booking jobs in/customer details whilst on the road where I have no data connection. Then when I get signal it syncs up.
If that's a bit too out of scope then maybe a way to simply email in customer details/tickets so that when I have no signal it will eventually send and I will have information on file - whether it's just dumped in a "notes" section for further processing when back in the office or if theres a way for it to actually get implemented into a ticket/customer.
Thanks :)
Our iOS and Android apps now support offline mode.

Maybe lean on the Dropbox integration for this?

Seems the ios app is going to provide a solution to this - Android in the works?

Yes, we are a 50% mobile business, and we're still trying to figure out a good way to handle things onsite... calling customers without having to browse a mobile website to look up a number with bad service, it'd be great to have something for field techs to take notes, etc. Something totally lacking for us.

There is a repairshopr app for apple devices that seems to be going down this route.
Android soon? :P

Yes. Imagine turning up with your iPad or Android equivalent. All data up to date since last online. All functionality present within reason. Then soon as a connection is found first it downloads online data to sync before then uploading its own data.
I won't need to scribble on pieces of paper any more :)

This is a great suggestion and I'm sure could be done through the development of a full scale app instead of a just a mobile optimized website.
