have a new ticket email
this is nothing major or urgent but it would be awesome if we could have a "new ticket email"
Currently if someone emails - it creates a new ticket and comes back with a "Comment Made" email stating what they have said...
Ideally, if someone was to send an email and a ticket didn't exist it would be awesome to be able to "customize" a new ticket email so for e.g an automatic reply might say
"Thank you for submitting your ticket, we will reply to you between the business hours of 9-5pm" as a quick example :)
I believe you can do this with our Leads response email.

I've made a similar request back in November 2015:
http://feedback.repairshopr.com/forums/165658-general/suggestions/10583520-new-ticket-email-template
This is marked as completed, but I've tested the leads response email and it simply doesn't work. The client does not receive the leads auto responder when a new ticket email comes in.
If we could please unmark this as completed and merge with the link to my original request?

Good to know Ryan. What kind of other goodies are being hidden from us? :)

Even RepairShopr's own ticket system (http://imgur.com/Svg6Hht) has this functionality. Maybe add "ticket creation" email separate from the "ticket updated" email.

Thanks Ryan.
I'm great with that sort of stuff.
I guess what I really want still isnt listed there. ..
Okay. If you create a new ticket as a field job you can edit an email template about appointments times etc.
If you just create a new ticket or if the customer creates one using check in, the customer just receives an email stating "comment made on ticket #000" with exactly what they have said. ..
Wouldn't it be ideal for when a new ticket is created the customer receives just a standard email such as, thanks for submitting your request, we will get back to you as soon as possible, our repsonse time is such and such. ...
Very much like a new field job email but new ticket email.

Just an FYI on this - there is a hidden set of customization's for templates that is VERY delicate to modify. Troy said it isn't made public because he doesn't want anyone messing anything up (irreversible), and specifically said "if you break it you bought it ;)". As such, do so at your own risk, and make a backup of EVERYTHING before you modify ANY of these.
At the end of your url, add /templates/misc/
Troy, please don't hit me! :)
