Allows attachments in more areas
It's really great being able to attach documents directly into the RS system for customers. Very helpful for referencing related paper docs, signed agreements, etc. However, there are way more instances attachments could be used for:
Vendors - applications, license agreements, contracts, bills, etc.
Purchase orders - PO print outs, packing slips, hand written notes, etc.
Parts orders - invoices, sales receipts, etc.
Further, while it is nice to see all attachments related to a specific customer all in one place (the customers page), it would be nice to have certain attachments (for instance, a parts order) attached and linked in that specific invoice for that customer. In all reality, attachments are a really helpful feature that should be available on almost all pages in RS.
We’ve added them in most places, comment if there are some big ones missing still.

We don't have this option available to us at all. We have to add attachments to every module. Ticket attachments are not available to attach to an estimate or invoice. We have to re-upload each attachment to the specific module. (ie estimate, invoice)
Any existing attachments on a customer are not available throughout any of the modules. ticket, estimate or invoice. -

Can attachments be shared throughout RSr? Attachment at the Customer level is not available through a ticket, estimate or invoice for that customer. We currently have to attach the same document multiple times in order to include them in an ticket, estimate or invoice

Do you think it would be possible to have the attachments in a Purchase Order email to the Vendor? we often send POs with drawings or CAD models for our suppliers to manufacture for us and i was hoping that buy attaching these files to a PO they would be sent when i send the email. it would also be a great way to send any further instructions to a Vendor.

I want to second this. I would love to see the ability to add attachments that aren't tied to a certain customer. I have a couple PDF brochures I send to people with Estimates, and I have to reupload them every time and that also eats up space.

Especially for assets, in the auto repair industry we need to attach documents to vehicles not to customers since the vehicles change ownership and there are customers with more than one vehicle in their account, and these two reasons among other reasons makes attaching documents to assets a very important feature in our business.

Troy it has been a LONG time since this was updated. Can you please add attachments to PO's? It would be very helpful!

Just found the "attach file" option in tickets. I don't love how that area is congested with buttons - probably why I didn't see it. That kind of covers the parts orders request, but still could use attachments in vendors and POs. Thanks!
