In QBO you can copy an estimate to an Invoice and a PO. The problem with copying it to an estimate in Repairshopr is that sometimes the parts need to be custom ordered. It would be good to have the option to also take a deposit on an Estimate. Also it would be nice to have those parts attached to a current ticket and not have to attach the parts to a new ticket and then merge the tickets.

What about having the client able to start a ScreenConnect session right from their login portal? If they have an issue, they login, and connect.

This thread seems to be talking about different things – so I need to get clarification if possible.

When you comment on this thread please state if you want “gift certificate support”, meaning a template to print them or something, and maybe a way to track the balance – OR -

“gift card support via Vantiv” where you have to buy magstripe cards with your design, have a Vantiv account, and deal with loading / checking balances / and the regulation that goes along with being required to allow people to cash out/etc.

We can refer to these as “basic gift certificates” or “magstripe gift cards” in the comments.

Feel free to say you want both! :)

The Vantiv “gift card support” is a fairly large project that we would need to see a lot of votes to get going.

A basic gift certificate tracking system might be simpler and…

Gift certificates. Something like the warranty certificates would be perfect! Then the ability to track who purchased them, their expiration and balance left.

Just the ability to edit our own custom badges would be great. Then we could as many as we want, edit the ones that are there or remove some that are there.

This is totally a no-brainer, except, there are tons of implications. If we allow some HTML, what is the subset? Most of the formatting stuff? colors?

Once colors and sizing is allowed, does that carry through to the mobile view, to the template system?

It would take 5 minutes to put a wysiwyg on the ticket comment – but much much more consideration to do it really well in all the places ticket comments show up.

    Keep voting and commenting..

As a manager I think something like this is definitely needed. We used Connectwise before and when I had questions about tickets or wanted technicians to look at tickets, I'd create a comment and cc: the technician on it. Sometimes this would be to elaborate on a ticket or just review it. Now I have to go through another step to forward a ticket to a technician, and there is no documentation that I contacted the technician.
