Assets manager allows data import via speccy

For those of you who don't know Speccy is a free tool that automatically scans a computer and retrieves the hardware information. It's quite extensive and an excellent way to quickly identify things like motherboard name, RAM type etc.

I would like to be able to upload the speccy output directly into the assets module. This would save alot of time when onsite and make it easier overall to add new hardware to better serve my customers.

i.e. a client calls and wants to know how much a ram upgrade is, you'll be able to see in an instant what ram they have, and give them a price.

This would be nice. Something similar to what Repairtech software can do but we are not looking for what is has.. we just want basic computer information on the system sent and speccy would be great!

Speccy is a good example, but I wanted to add other things about assets could also be just as important. If it can't be directly integrated with some sort of spec overview program like speccy, than maybe adding a feature to attach files to an asset would suffice for the time being. It may be benificial to upload the Speccy HTML, but also photos of the equipment, photos of locations or important attached equipment, lenghthy notes on the equipment, copy of warranty or PO...
