Optional Components software in Estimates
When I do an estimate or bundle I like to add a couple of optional Items ie bundle plus optional MS Office, but it gives the total of both bundle and office. How about the ability to have the total for the bundle for the estimate and the an option to say add $$ for Office
Could you add a line item for that to the estimate?
What if there was an Approve or Deny button next to each item? That would be a great start!
QuoteWerks is a perfect example of how estimates should be (or could be) formatted. It might not be ideal for everyone but anyone that works with businesses would be a huge value add for RS. I had a post just like this. Can they be merged?
I currently use quotewerks for my quoting because of the options. I would like the option for an exclusive option i.e radio button. You might have 3 packages but want to let the client decide which one but only be able to select one.
Just like Phil I like to add optional extras like office and anti virus software so they can see what I offer and if they want it or not.
This is a good idea .. we also do the 'Optional' thing but I don't think it's very professional and the idea suggested here would look a lot cleaner and provide a way to set those 'Optional' components apart from the other items.

We usually just prefix the description with OPTIONAL on a line item, then put price and zero the quantity.
No ideal but gets us by
