allow scanning tickets within POS Module
I'd love to be able to scan or enter in the customers ticket number in the POS to bring up the attached invoice total and have it total it out that way. Is this a feature that exists or do you plan to implement this in the future?
This should already be working, check with support if you are seeing an issue with it.
Right now, if you scan a barcode on the POS for a Ticket, and that customer has ONE open invoice, it will pull it up in the POS.

@liam - This is marked as complete, we did this 2 years ago. Just scan the barcode in the POS barcode scan field.

this is a great suggestion though, and i think you should re-open it. scanning the ticket in the top search merely takes you to the customers ticket….really not that much of a time saver for end users. the original poster had asked if by scanning the barcode on the ticket, could it pull the total of the customer invoice into the POS and be able to check them out immediately…instead of having to go into the ticket, change to invoice and enter the payment form screen. being able to scan the ticket and have it pull over all that info would be such a huge time saver for everyone.

top search only takes me directly to the ticket in the system. what i am trying to accomplish is scanning the ticket so that i can check out the customer in the POS. basically, i want to scan the ticket, have that action total out the repair cost tied to the ticket and be on my way.

If you're looking to scan the ticket, you should be able to do that from the top search. Feel free to contact us at support at help@repairshopr.com if you're having issues, though.

this is not working for us. it auto populates to walking customer. when you scan the ticket barcode nothing happens. scanner works fine for all other things, so it's not the hardware.

In addition Would it be difficult to allow it to go right to the customer profile or ticket (whichever is scanned at the POS)? The customer service counter will generall have the POS System pulled up all of the time and it would be handy to have this. For those that would not like this it may be something to put in the preferences area to turn on and off as a feature.
