You don't necessarily need to change anything initially, in fact, you may want to continue using your existing credit card solution while you get the hang of the software! You can add credit card integration at any point down the road. Many users create a workflow while sticking with their current credit card solutions. Both approaches work well, so choose the one you are most comfortable with.
Option 1: Use Existing Credit Card Processor outside of the System
No setup is required for this option. All you need to do is mark the invoice as "Offline CC" when selecting the payment method to trigger the invoice to show as "paid" in RepairShopr.
Please note, that we are unable to support any offline payment methods or POS systems. This includes QuickBooks Merchant Services for payment processing. Furthermore, if you want to use Quickbooks for accounting, you'll need a payment processor other than Quickbooks Merchant Services.
Option 2: Worldpay Credit Card Processing (Recommended)
Worldpay is the most comprehensive payment integration we have and it's at the best rate. If you would like to learn more about what Worldpay offers please refer to this article.
You can also contact Worldpay through the app card in the RepairShopr App Center or click this link to submit a contact request directly to Worldpay: https://vantivip.secure.force.com/?p=RepairShopr1
If you'd like to sign up, log in to your RepairShopr account and head to Admin > App Center > Worldpay > Check the box that says to use Worldpay and click the link to contact Worldpay. Simply fill out and the contact form and Worldpay will reply as soon as they can.
Option 3: Authorize.net
Authorize.net is a gateway. They can connect to your existing merchant account or help you find a new one. A merchant account is an account that connects to your bank, i.e. it is where the money is sent. A gateway is where the credit card information is entered. It checks with the credit card company and then sends the money to the merchant account.
A typical configuration is getting a merchant account at your bank. Once you have that, any gateway/terminal can connect to it.
If you want to use Authorize.net you will need to contact support for a special link to access it.

Option 4: Square
Square can only be used for iOS or Android apps. You find integration instructions here.
Option 5: Stripe
If you have stripe and would like to set it up with the software you find set up information here.
Please note: Stripe has listed "remote technical support" and "extended warranties" as restricted businesses by classifying them as high-risk businesses on their FAQ page.

Option 6: Paypal
Paypal is another great option and it is easy to set up. Just head over to App Center under Admin. Select the Paypal card and then add your credentials. Save and you are all set to go
TLDR: Cards are not stored within our software, but with the gateway, who handles the PCI Compliance.
In general, PCI compliance is required by credit card companies to make online transactions secure and protect them against identity theft. Any merchant that wants to process, store or transmit credit card data is required to be PCI compliant, according to the PCI Compliance Security Standard Council.
As RepairShopr does not store credit cards within our software, but with the gateway, the gateway provider provides the PCI Compliance.
When storing payment profiles, the card is stored in the gateway and they return a token that we store, so the card is never on RepairShopr servers
Please check with your payment provider for their PCI Compliance. Our payment providers—WorldPay, Authorize.net, Stripe, PayPal, and Square—are all PCI Compliant.
