Report a Service Disruption Option
This is just a follow-up to a few inquiries we've put in recently. A few times, we've had to put in a support ticket for a critical issue, and we we're sure if it was just us or everyone. The two most recent issues:
1. Authorize.net API was down for 2 hours (for everyone)
2. RS app load times were slow (due to your host issues)
It would be really helpful if RS users could submit an alternative contact option other than "Contact Support" or "Give Feedback". Specifically, a "Report Critical Service Disruption" where RS users could alert the dev team if there's a problem they think is effecting other users. Then if it's just that one user, you could convert it to a normal ticket. But if it is a global issue, you could quickly throw up one of the extremely helpful app alerts at the top of the pages.
In the case with Authorize.net being down, we didn't know if it was just us or everyone until we called our bank, our merchant provider, and Authorize.net; on top of putting in a support ticket to RS.
Better yet, make it an option for admin's to have the authority to add a global alert like you guys to do the top of every page (for users on our account only, of course). It's a lot easier for multi-location companies than putting in a bunch of calls or emails, especially when it's directly related to the app.
We have added a status page where we are reporting any system wide, or service wide, or major 3rd party issues we see.
