Add assets to an existing ticket
In the Ticket window, there is now simple way to add an Asset to the ticket. We use serial numbers to track everything we do in our shop, and sometimes you can't get the serial number because the device won't power on, etc until the diagnosis is complete - at which point we would like to be able to add the device to the customer's asset list and assign it to the ticket. Once a ticket is open, I don't see any way to add an asset.
This should work from the ticket edit page, under “Change” – contact support if it doesn’t.

Agree with the comments about allowing asset creation from the Ticket page. There are a few duplicate requests for just this change. If it's something you'd find useful, go to the URL below and vote it up:

I'd like to see on option to have the asset fields as a part of a ticket so one can simply add asset details with a ticket without leaving the ticket window.

The "Assets" button in: Ticket -> "Change" button -> bottom of "Editing ticket" page
is really misplaced! It could be MUCH better placed in the Ticket itself, next to "Assets for this Ticket". Maybe it should not even be moved there, but ALSO be there. This could save some mouseclicks. -

If you edit the ticket, you'll see the asset button, here you can add any new assets
