Register balance setting
Hi,
There needs to be a setting for the register that sets the desired cash amount for the register. Then in the report, to take out the dollar amount in cash that leaves a balance among the change and bills.

Good Morning,
I'm the Sales Administrator for my company, Computer Connection, Inc. I cannot compliment this new system enough, as a facilitator of the transition from our old PoS system to Repairshopr. We love this new system, but it's not without its kinks.
As our company has been in business for over 21 years, we've counted a few tills in our time. The counting of the sales registers in Repairshopr is one of those aforementioned "kinks." If there was an administrative option to input dollar amounts instead of the current system, it would solve problems and streamline closing by leaps and bounds!
Thank you for your time and attention. Please, have a Blessed Day, and a Happy New Year!

I Agree. we call this a "float". in my previous POS System, we had this, and it gives us an aproximation of the amount of deposit we need to drop so that we dont leave too much cash in the till.
Also,
When we open the register, the "Previous close Balance" isnt what we expect it to be. we expect it to be the "cash amount" not the "total close balance of all types of transactions" - is this a bug or is this by design? for us, the meaning of "previous close balance" is to "Compare" the cash count to the "previous cash count" to make sure there are no mistakes. If its by design, adding a "previous close balance - CASH" Line would be the best fix for this. we do not want to have to give employees access to Z Reports so they can compare.Thanks.

If I understand this suggestion, it covers our needs. We leave a balance in the register of $170. If I understand this suggestion, when implemented I will be able to enter that amount as a default and, at closing, the Z-Report will deduct it so that I get a picture of the day's activity and the amount to set aside for my deposit.
