    Please consider integration with quickbooks payments merchant center. This service is vastly superior in features and economic value compared to Vantiv, maybe even Stripe.

    You can say you prefer it, but you cannot say it’s superior in any way.

    The Vantiv pricing you will get is better than Intuit will provide, and the integration and API on Vantiv & Stripe is far easier to work with. We couldn’t even get registered as an Intuit merchant developer because their signup processes were totally broken.

    For now we are not considering adding Intuit Merchant.

    At the moment it’s not possible to integrate something that doesn’t have a web-browser SDK for general web page usage.

    If you can highlight where this device has that support, we can consider it – otherwise we have to build desktop software vs using our web interface and we aren’t going to do that..

  3. Drop down box in payment form to nominate which register is used for a payment

    When we click on payment form we are taken to the payment form. In this form I suggest we have a drop down box to nominate which register the payment is being made too. For example if we are taking a cash payment we would click the drop down box and select the "cash register" and if we are taking a card payment we select "bank account" register. If these payments are the first payments of the day then we would be forced to open and close the register we nominate.

  4. Canadian Backup

    I read your blog on Managed Backup and Cloudberry.

    Can you do the same type of intergration with a Canadian Backup comapny? Not all businesses want their data going across the boarder.

  5. Be able to add check marks to "field types" under creating "fields" under custom field types.

    Being able to add something like additional items left as an additional custom field and being able to pick under "field types" to use check marks . you guys currently offer the "check box option" but would like a "check box option" with an add answer option to name the check box. and make multiple check boxes availble under the same field type.

    This would probably be challenging to design well. The best bet would be to have a check box and text field for those questions. We’ll decline at the moment but can revisit when we revise how custom fields are handled in the future.

  6. Change order of toolbar modules

    This is a very minor idea and is not urgent. I just noticed the order of the modules on the toolbar are kind of out of "order" according to our workflow when recently training a noob.

    It makes sense that Customers is first - for lookup or creation. However, after finding or adding a customer, you most often create a Ticket. If it's a field job, you add that after a ticket, if not during. Then you add estimates to a ticket, maybe order parts or use inventory, and then make an invoice.

    Not sure if it would be possible…

  7. Extend the attachments mdoule to include TWAIN scanner compatibility.

    Very often a customer will come into our shop, to purchase an item, with a paper purchase order. At the moment, to include this document in the ticket, or invoice, it is necessary to scan the document into a pdf file, save it somewhere, upload the file as an attachment, and then delete the pdf. It would be quicker & easier for us, if RS would accept the document direct from a scanner. I would have thought adding TWAIN compatibility would be a relatively simple job.

    Any Windows API work is probably out of scope and not a simple job. Sorry about that! Maybe there is some way to make a scanner appear as a webcam in windows, which would make it appear in the file upload box. (Has a webcam control)

  8. Customizable Hidden comment templates

    This may have been suggested, but I searched and could not find it. Just like the canned response, but for hidden comments. Create templates that will gel with internal communication. Ex:

    Parts Used:
    Parts Ordered:
    Next:
    Addition Info:

    The tech would fill out the fields then save the note. Then who ever looks at that ticket next knows what was the last thing done and what would be the next thing to do with out going through all the comments. Maybe have a way to link then to the update type. The part order template could…

  9. Have subject line on Estimates the same way tickets appear to differentiate between them

    When you look at a customer profile, the estimates are listed with dates and amounts, but no subject or note to tell what the estimates are for without opening them up for details. Right below that is the list of tickets which do show the subject line. Having the same type of subject field on an estimate would be helpful.

  10. Hello, When making a "New Ticket Comment" you select your "Update Subject" I think one of the items in here should be "Update"

    Sometimes we just want to email our client an update on their repair, and it doesn't really fall under any of the other categories.

    I would like to see some Integration with Insighly CRM. I have just started using the free version for the past few weeks and it has helped me stay VERY organized with contact information and relationships even outside of "customers". I would really love if it could integrate into Repairshopr.

  14. ETA of upcoming changes from RS

    Hey RS Staff!

    Everyone loves all the updates/advancements you make in the system, but we never know what to expect. It would be nice to know what is really "in the works this week" vs "planned". After all, there are currently over 100 requests that I'm sure aren't all being looked at in the near future.

    On UserVoice, I see there are different statuses, including "under review", "planned" and "started". It would be really nice to see what's being worked on under the home screen in RS, but otherwise could you keep the statuses in UV updated more?

  15. Department Inventory Report

    It would be nice to have a Department report. To be able to see how much each month is sold from each department, such as keyboards, hard drives, software. Etc.

  17. Choose Locations for Service Calls

    We have several contract customers that have 1 pot of hours, but multiple locations. It would be nice to be able to choose a certain location for the service call so that their is no confusion and still able to use the same bucket of hours.

  18. Add date/time to suggestions and replies

    When looking at the suggestions and the replies it is hard to determine when an idea is really old or not. It would be cool to see when an idea was marked as Planned or In Progress. Also, it would be cool to have a "read by admin" mark to show ideas are heard.

    This is actually an off-the-shelf product we are using called UserVoice – I think you are referring to this forum/vote system itself?

    We’ll try to add estimates when we make updates like this one I’m typing now :)

  19. Contract Manager Suggestions


    1. Make the columns sortable.

    2. Create a setting to show contracts expiring in the next 30 days.
