Appreciate the suggestion. Is the main change that you’d like to see everyone’s reminders in one place? Or would this be a different feature all together?

This thread seems to be talking about different things – so I need to get clarification if possible.

When you comment on this thread please state if you want “gift certificate support”, meaning a template to print them or something, and maybe a way to track the balance – OR -

“gift card support via Vantiv” where you have to buy magstripe cards with your design, have a Vantiv account, and deal with loading / checking balances / and the regulation that goes along with being required to allow people to cash out/etc.

We can refer to these as “basic gift certificates” or “magstripe gift cards” in the comments.

Feel free to say you want both! :)

The Vantiv “gift card support” is a fairly large project that we would need to see a lot of votes to get going.

A basic gift certificate tracking system might be simpler and…

gift certificate templates would be wonderful. Serialized with balance support would be awesome.

I still think this is a great idea! Maybe bumping it will help it pick up steam.

    Hey all-

So if you have a customer with 100 assets, you have to manually link them all? When they create a new one, it’s not linked – and you have to go link it?

Would it be better to have a contract cover all assets without having to select them??

@Troy. Sorry, I've been busy working the grind. We need to be able to attach a contract to an asset. Manually attach would work for me! Or you could use the same table that you use for adding an asset to a service ticket. That seems to work nice. I'd love to chat with you guys about this in further detail. Feel free to contact me. I'm sure you guys have my number.

    Troy,
What I was trying to do was get the ability to add a customer's individual asset to an existing (or new) contract. Just like when we create a service ticket and then add an asset to that ticket.

We have clients with 20+ systems that we've serviced and they want to contract only certain systems. The ability to attach individual assets would allow us to know which systems are already covered by their contracts.

This is a wonderful idea! We have clients with multiple assets but only one or two of them actually under contract. If we had the ability to add them to a contract (like we add them when creating a ticket) that would be excellent. If the asset also showed us that it is under contract (with an expiration date of the said contract) that would be an enormous benefit! Kudos to rmontero for the idea.

    Just my thoughts...

Unlimited Issue Types would be the way to go on this...

    [COMBO_BOX(ISSUE_TYPE)] + "Add Next Issue" Button|Link

Basically, combox with the issue types, and next to it a link that adds another combox below and "the cycle of life repeats" That would be very useful to address multiple issue types. I would still make it a feature that can be turned on|off. Everyone likes options, right?

I like this one! Our clients ALWAYS seem to have at least 2 or 3 problems. +3 for me!

Stoked to see that this has hit the Planning stage. I want to put the emphasis on the URL field and the standard markup calculation sections. I'm always using a claculator to figure our standard markup when entering a new inventory item. Would be great if it could do the math for us!

I second this. If our clients don't pay for their ticket in a timely manner, we seize their equipment. With that said, we need a way to be able to write off an invoice for the remaining balance that's due.
