I forgot to mention of course that we need the start and end date listed for the hire.

Yes ...a rental system would be perfect for us as well. We always rent out our large format printers. Ideally we'd need to insert our original buy price...then it would be good to keep tabs on the total invoices over the few years of renting and maintenance costs. When the printer gets sold for new rental stock we need to ensure we sell it at a fair price which is profitable to us. It's also helpful to see how much the current customer has paid and offer them a discount if they buy based upon how much they've paid out in rental costs to date. We'd also like the ability to load up a copy of ink levels (pdf) at the start of the contract and then load a copy of the ink levels at the end of the control to calculate ink usage. Finally we need an ability to click on all rental customers so that we can follow them up to see if they need more ink or paper.

I'm just looking into using this CRM for my business in the UK and this requested feature of having the price listed without the VAT would be standard UK business practice - customers might instantly think our prices are more expensive if we were to show figures including VAT - as this isn't the normal layout.

    Hey all-

So if you have a customer with 100 assets, you have to manually link them all? When they create a new one, it’s not linked – and you have to go link it?

Would it be better to have a contract cover all assets without having to select them??

I love this CRM system however I do spot a need to be able to manage my Support contracts more easily. So... the first thing would be when adding a new customer I would next add all of their assets (or printers) so we can see at a glance what printers they have. This will help us support them on repairs, ink, paper supplies etc...as customers often forget if they have an A1 or A0 size printer which impacts what paper and parts can be supplied to them.

The next thing would be if the customer decides to put 1 of the printers on contract it would be great if we could simply click on a link next to the asset so that it pulls all of the asset data such as Printer model and Serial Number automatically and then allows us to add in the contract info such as start date and end date, to set an annual service date - and have it remind us to renew with the customer a month before the contract starts to expire. Thank you :-)
