We do alot of laptop component replacements, such as replacing unique one time use parts for laptops (batteries, hinges, power buttons, keyboards, screens, etc).

When we do a 3rd party part order to track the order, it will only let me "Add Items from Inventory" and not add a manual line item part (with cost/retail price like an invoice allows).

Your suggestion would free up my time from making an inventory part for every button, chip, or one time, non-serialized part ordered.
Also, we cannibalize laptops that are left for recycling or repo'd or not worth fixing. This would also us and techs to quickly search for the part instead of searching our laptop graveyard :)

Hope this gets implemented somehow. Thanks!

The draft would also help with Quickbook integration Invoice issues we've had to deal with.

Also, the ability to increase font size on receipt print outs....

    My exact problem as well:
    "

We would like the option to not show custom text fields such as Computer Password: on the ticket receipt, but still to allow it to print on Ticket (full) print/PDF.

We want only certain custom fields and checkboxes on the ticket receipt to give to the customer, and all of them on the full ticket print out.

We hand the ticket receipt to the customer on job receipt, and print a full ticket to stick on the equipment and use as a paper copy (we always keep a paper copy and often work from it)."

We were prepping to start this and realized the narrow-scope version we were willing to commit to would just make most people upset that we “built it half way” – but we aren’t in a position to compete with docusign/etc and spend a year building a proper solution.

We could more easily help make a zapier/webmerge solution work if you wanted some automation, if we get a lot of feedback supporting that idea I’ll make it happen pretty quickly.

What if any appointment that had a location specified we could calculate the road-miles from your office to there, and put that in a report?

A little simpler than doing real vehicle/person tracking, still gets you pretty good data – and would be more realistic for us to quickly build.

Let me know in the comments..

A field on the Invoice for total miles, then a way to pull a monthly, quarterly report would be most excellent.
