Would everyone please add a comment to this and give a sentence or two about how they would like the integration to work?

    - Eg, is it with a cloud shipping service?

    - Do you download a file which some desktop app is able to open to make a label?

    - Please let us know in the comments how this could work in your situation so we can get an idea what is involved

    Hey Troy,

Been a minute since I've been in here. Wanted to give some feedback. We've been on Shipstation for about a year now, and there's no going back for me. If we had a "Ship via shipstation" button where it sent the item over to Shipstation with the customer's address info and the ticket number, it would handle it just fine. I can set things like my shipping options in Shipstation. Can even key it to react to a word in the order lines like "rush" and auto set the shipment to a next day air option.

Bottom line, they have webhooks enabled and integrate phenomenally well with Zapier. I'd check them out. We currently have them integrated with:

    Xero via Zapier
    Shopify
    Squarespace
    Amazon
    eBay

Right now we take manual orders and input them into Xero, then zap them over to Shipstation if they meet certain criteria. I'd rather do this is from RepairshopR, but it's not really feasible to trigger it yet that I can see. I DO Zap some shipments from Shipstation into RepairShopr as work tickets.

Hope this helps, I'm open to showing you the guts on our end if you want to take a look as well.

    Best,

    James

This would be a heck of a lot easier on the guys to integrate with ShipStation (my favorite) or Shiprush, or EasyShip, which are all valid. Pushing the shipping out like that means a heck of a lot less internal code I'm sure.

So FYI I think there's already a rental request ticket. You might got more mileage by just adding your votes to that one.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE this idea. We have tons of situations where we'd prefer a combo box, and right now we just need to leave them as text entry fields.

Combo box availability for worksheets and custom fields would be incredible.

I'm adding a vote to this as I'd really appreciate it, and I think it would tie in really really well with my request on adding product category discounts to Contracts.

    https://feedback.repairshopr.com/forums/165658-general/suggestions/36782557-apply-contract-pricing-discounts-to-product-catego

I think the two kind of go hand in hand, as we're trying to accomplish similar goals here. Properly discounting products based on the Category and how much margin we have available on the items.

Couldn't it just say "Price per Contract" and it would solve all of this?

Finally freed up some votes to give this. Would be thrilled to have a rental ticketing type of system. Would allow me to get my rentals out of Assets and properly organized. Currently we have to do lots of shuffling of assets on and off customers to make them appear on job tickets, and billing is a pain.

Troy, I know I'm on a request frenzy, but take them as you're able. The improvements your team has been making are great.

    James Moore commented  ·

Our business would greatly appreciate this as well. Knowing which Assets are "rental" units, what shape are they in (did the customer bring it back dinged up and it needs a repair ticket?) and that sort of thing would help us a lot with scheduling. We could even use the intake form for terms and conditions!

I'm out of votes, but when some of the projects I voted on are completed I'll move my votes here.

This is more like, additional people can subscribe/follow for updates right?

You can’t “assign” something to more than one person..

Would “follow” with notifications get you what you are after?

    James Moore commented  ·

I'll second Paul's comments below. I'm running in to this now. I have a Rep out of state who creates tickets, but I have a person in house doing the work. They both need to be able to access and view the ticket, but I don't want them both to be accessing everyone's tickets.

We were prepping to start this and realized the narrow-scope version we were willing to commit to would just make most people upset that we “built it half way” – but we aren’t in a position to compete with docusign/etc and spend a year building a proper solution.

We could more easily help make a zapier/webmerge solution work if you wanted some automation, if we get a lot of feedback supporting that idea I’ll make it happen pretty quickly.

    Hey Troy,

Out of curiosity, what is the big feature that this was behind? I'm just wondering if that roadblock has been finished yet.

    Best,

    James

    Hey guys,

We're trying to have invoices sent out through one system at the shop, is it possible to have these go through as Drafts? WorkFlowMax did this through an option. Would it be super difficult to do on your end?

Yeah, I'll second the worksheet features, would be great to have in refurbs.

Major one for me is that I can't see the SNs of the units in refurbs, so no one has any idea what they're working on without going in to the customer purchase itself for every unit to find the one you're refurbishing. Putting the SN in the table for refurbs would go a long way.

I could REALLY use the tickets functionality here. We use the worksheets as part of our standard calibration process, so all jobs (internal or external) need to have a ticket number assigned. Even an easy way to create a ticket that uses our own info as the customer would help.
