Self-service Check-Ins / Kiosk Mode Enhancement
Hello, after speaking with your staff I found some limitations with the self-service website integration and kiosk mode (not the Repair Wizard).
When a customer checks-in and a ticket is created through an actual kiosk the ticket field is limited to "issue" only and doesn't have the ability to include other relevant and useful fields such as device passcode, device type, etc at time of intake.
In order to use the custom intake form with a check-in we are using the Self-service coding on our website but there is no ability to enhance the ticket portion of this currently to gather more pertinent customer information. This entails us to manually intervene and also allows room for error such as forgetting to get the customers password.
Can we make this part customizable to reflect how the independent ticket creation works which can and does include these necessary fields? If that can't be done easily then can you perhaps just add device type and passcode to the self-service coding and allow for it to be turned on and off if necessary for other types of shops?
I know there is api availability which I am told can do this but I have never coded something like this. If anyone has done anything like this I could appreciate the input.

It would be a great idea to be able to add certain custom fields at time of check-in. I am sure many of us could use the "password" field added to this section along with device type

Is anyone using a Self Check in on an iPad? I'd like to get an iPad up front so we could hand it to clients, who would then see something like this..

New client button
Existing client buttonNew clients would then be prompted to enter all their client data, then create a ticket
existing clients would choose their name and enter ticket info
Then system would reset back to our Welcome Splash screen...

This needs to be implemented , This was the first problem I seen when I started using ReapirshopR
we want customer to walk in Self serve themselves on Kiosk Tablet and be forced to submit all relevant information for said device and then sign our Terms and conditions then this information transferred automatically to a Ticket with No double handling or mountains of paper work
Basically customer needs to be able to fill out fields on the ticket information or we need multiple fields that mirror the ability we have behind the scenes with Ticket fields

I agree with this and I myself am working on using the API for leads from Gravity Forms so more information can be submitted. I started this because of mobile phone responsiveness and now found that it may benefit more inputs.

Hello, was wondering if this enhancement would ever be planned? If not do you know who or where I can get something like this coded for our shop? Has anyone else coded this? Thanks!
