The way I run my repairshop is to try and book appointments for people to bring their device in for repair - more so for repairs to mobile devices where people require a quick turn around for example.
Using the appointments feature would be ideal for this but here is some things I think would be better
1) Allowing different opening times on a "per day" basis. My weekend opening times are different to during the week.
2) Ability to change the default appointment length to say half hour rather than an hour as it currently is.
3) On the form the customer fills out for the appointment, they should be able to choose their device type, a title of the problem (ticket title) and a description of the problem.
I currently use the Due Date field within a ticket as a way to track the day and time I am expecting a customer to arrive but this would be suited for its obvious reason of when you expect to complete the ticket.
Hope the feedback helps and can be taken into account.
This is mostly done due to the new settings available in the custom widgets.
The per day differing schedules still isn’t done.

OK, it has been 3 years. Why do we still not have Per Day schedules for appointment bookings? I have never heard of a shop that has the same hours every day of the week.

Would love to see the Per day schedules as well as we open a couple of late nights and different times at weekend.
I would also be interested in the ability to set up different booking times for different days as I have different hours on the weekend.
While I don't necessarily need the "device" Just having a block to describe "why" they want an appointment would be a huge plus... Just a text block, a place to enter the service location (address)...

Add the following to the appointment booking feature:
Ability to select what type of job - like onsite vs remote
Ability to make Mondays remote days, for example - so customer selects remote, and then all other times except Mondays are blocked out, for example.
Ability for customer to add description of issue
Ability to add disclaimers based on what type of job it is for customer to agree to before booking

This is a must. I'd love to see this pushed out very soon! I am a one man shop who runs my business part time, with a full time job that has odd days off and hours!
To add to my above post, also the ability for the customer to choose where the appointment should be via the Location Field "In Store", "Call Out", "Post Device" or similar wording. Naturally if they choose "In Store" then perhaps the appointment email can give them the address of where they need to come to (My operating address is different to the address on all invoices etc).
