Ability to schedule appointments with non-customers or without a ticket (like a vendor or non-income meeting)
Sometimes we need to block time out of the schedule for things like interviews or meeting with a potential vendor, or 'personal time' on the calendar. Can we have the ability to schedule things that are not attached to a ticket or customer?
You can do this from the calendar page now.

Yes...This was highly used within our office on our previous platform. The fact that RepairShopr cant do this is a MAJOR disappointment. I enter appts on google calendar and it sometimes will appear on the RS calendar but things will disappear. There are other flaws but we are considering to switch back to our other online billing platform.

+1 for MSP feature
This is needed for estimates and proposal meetings.

Any news on this? We often schedule out of the office lunches, vacations, etc in our current CRM and we are planning on migrating to Repairshopr in the very near future.

I would like to see this also. In fact I talked to Troy about this many months ago. I didn't understand at that time why the calendar wasn't called calendar and why appointments could only be added or scheduled by association to a ticket.
I still don't know why it is setup that way. -

also adding to this, why does the calendar not recognise half hr blocks?
eg if i have an appointment between 9:30am and 11:30am it still shows I am available?I get a lot of walk-ins and the availability list needs to be able to be updated quickly and have accurate times left available. If i have a half hr job to do , I have 2 options, either block out the whole hour so it comes off my availability, or leave it completely then showing im available for the whole hr , of which i am not.

I also think this is crucial - the current calendar system seems clunky and awkward to use due to the need to associate every appointment with a ticket.

Yeah, the calendar needs SERIOUS help. It's barely usable in a multi-tech environment where appointments get moved or transferred between techs. Add to that just trying to show availability or block off times/dates for non-appointment items, it's much more difficult than it should be.
