Would like a way to send notifications to certain users email when something in a category sells.
For instance I have a physical store, but I also have a different department that handles only online sales(ebay, etc).
When something say in my "Phone Sales" category sells it would be nice for an email to automatically be sent to my employee in charge of my online store so they instantly know to take the item down from all online markets.
This can be accomplished with the Zapier integration. You’d need to setup a trigger for invoice or payment – and filter for the category you want. I bet you could find someone online to help with it if you get stuck. Good luck!

Zapier does not provide the service I am requesting. It only allows notifications when tickets are created, customers are created, payment is made, invoices are created, ticket status' changed.
I need something that provides a notification when something from a particular inventory category is sold or even added as a line item on an invoice.
I have a department that handles all of my online retail as well as entering items into the system for retail at my storefront. I need something to easily notify my online department when things sell in the store so they can remove it from all online platforms.
I cannot have my online department sift through every single invoice created looking for devices posted online being sold. Time is essential. We have already had issues where products were purchased in the store then shortly after purchased online leaving us with upset customers.
A notification trigger in the notification center for when item from XYZ category is added as a line item would be a solution and offer something very useful.
Maybe you have an alternative solution I'm not seeing?

Maybe an event trigger for when an invoice is paid that also lets you select what categories can trigger the event.
