Request ability to make customers inactive
We need a way to make customers inactive or archive them in order for reports to be meaningful and communicate with Quickbooks correctly. Also, email addresses should be able to be used for more than one customer. We have some who are the contact for other organizations who are also customers.
Archive Customers was added and can be performed by heading to the Customer you wish to Archive, click Actions > Archive. If you wish to see a list of all Archived customers, head to the Customer tab and click Customer Modules > Show Archived.

KNOCK KNOCK......
I really need the ability to disable customer accounts. We have a highly transient population where I live. Transient as in, they leave the area OR the planet.
It can be extremely embarrassing to email
1) a deceased person,
2) someone that hasn't lived in the area for a number of years,
3) an business that has ceased tradingIt is a legal requirement here that we have to keep records for 7 years.
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE can we have an account disable facility.

I'm confused here. Is RepairShopr still being developed? I see an awful lot of threads around here that haven't had movement in YEARS. Has everyone bailed off to Syncro?

This is really important for us.
Customer records have to be kept for a number of years for compliance purposes.
We have customers that have moved out of the area and we don't want to email them any longer.
It will also help us to determine which clients are active. -

Would love to see this tick box under edit - customer.
Then a button or access thru the admin to find the inactive clients if needed to reactivate.

We have several customers that we no longer service, so would be great to have function to archive rather than delete customers

Has anything happened with this idea?

Surprised this hasn't come up more. I have a client who moved his business about 10 states away. I do not want to lose the tickets, etc. that go with the customer, but certainly don't want to be emailing him marketing blasts, etc.
