Improving leads and kiosk
I noticed that RS has added FormStack to the apps. This is HUGE!! and a major step in the right direction as far as how you can dramatically improve the Leads module which, in my opinion, needs major work.
FormStack is in a league of their own when it comes to form building.
Their forms and triggers can build lead generating emails that are far more advanced than the RS.
The problem....
You made it so that the FormStack field names need to match the available RS Lead field names to be reasonably usable. Therefore basically taking an incredible lead generating form tool like FormStack and nerfing it.
PLEASE FIX IT!!!
Instead of just adding the app please make it so that FormStack integrates well with RS.
Chang the available Lead fields to match the most common and useful FormStack fields.
As I see (could be mistaken), the only fields available in Leads is;
- First Name
- Last Name
- Phone
- Email
- Issue Type
- Subject (AKA email subject)
- Detailed Description (AKA email body)
Alternatively it would also be great if RS just rebuilt the entire leads and ticket module so that it is more robust and full featured similar to FormStack. Whatever makes the most sense I guess.
For now we are going to leave this as-is.

There are more fields than that available, here is a mostly complete list:
:first_name, :last_name, :email, :phone, :mobile, :created_at, :updated_at,
:address, :city, :state, :zip, :ticket_subject, :ticket_description,
:ticket_problem_type, :ticket_id, :customer_id, :contact_idYou can also add any fields you want and we put them in the body of the description. We also automatically handle "Your Name" and turn that into firstname/lastname. That has been there and works currently.
Custom Widgets available from the Admin page are where we are focusing this type of effort inside RS, and we continue to improve that every week or two.
We are not in the business of making embeddable forms, and we won't make them better than formstack anytime soon - that's why you can use this integration. Enjoy!
