Topaz support for the Macintosh
Any future plans for this?
2 votesSorry, for now this is out of our hands – topaz only provides the javascript developer plugins for windows machines.
If they ever build the tooling we’ll happily add it.

I love this software, but I do not want to use the email part of it or SMS part of it at all.
I find the whole setup very easy to use and it is exactly what I was looking for in my repair shop other than the email/SMS part of it. I call customers to discuss the repairs. If it were cheaper to use the software without the email/SMS and more transactions, I would be much more pleased.
1 voteFor the time being the pricing has very little impact from email/sms.

At this time we feel we have built enough in the Customer Relationship Builder that there is no need for constant contact to be used.
You can fully build and send all types of email campaigns from within RepairShopr, so we’ll have no use for an integration.
If you think we are missing some features that you like at constant contact, let us know!

Options to change color scheme
I think it would be great to provide options to change the color scheme. I find it difficult to distinguish the buttons along the top from the black background sometimes, but it would also be nice to be able to match the colors of our company.
1 voteWe are going to be changing the color scheme of the app soon, but for now, aren’t planning on making it customizable.
Sorry about that, it could be done at some point – but for now we’ll close this one

Modify placement of customers, invoices, estimates, etc.
Just want to suggest, for workflow purposes, modify the placement of customers, estimates, invoices, tickets, etc.
For example from left to right - Customers, Estimates, Tickets, Invoices, Leads, Marketr, and so on.1 vote -
mysqu database integration
it might be good to be able to use outside databases like for us we have MySQL servers for our website that we are able to use maybe if You can use these types of databases for your server it could eliminate on database issues maybe even lower server load on your end for managing these databases. such still using your site and service to connect an encrypted connection and be able to chose a database. Maybe it could be a used for database backup or something.
1 voteThanks!
We have a great DB setup right now at heroku.
You mean you want an API to access the data easier?

integration with Producteev, or copy of their wonderful user-friendly interface
is there a way to integrate PDTV in RepairShopr?
or could we see on day their best features added to your ticket manager?what we love on Producteev is
- the clear view of all the current jobs and what's in progress
- the tags and priority features
- the comments -in-tasks feature
- the assignment feature
- the ease of the interfacewhat we hate in pdtv
- no customer managment
- no invoicing system
- it's not as great as RS :-)1 voteWe do plan an interface update but it’s a bit down the road for us.

implement email hosting
It would be awesome to also host email accounts for each technician with our own domain, like a "MAIL" tab that allows techs to check their email and send emails, all inside Repair Shopr. This would prevent having to have outlook running. I guess you could compare this idea with Google Apps. Something else that would streamline the process and make Repairshopr virtually the only tab you ever need open in the shop.
1 voteHey – love the enthusiasm :)
It almost makes me cry thinking about all the things that go along with this, maybe a happy medium could be adding a ‘quick email’ link to fire something off.. and then alerting on a reply
We’ll keep this here, but for now, keep your email at Google and Microsoft!

Bomgar has a great API that would allow remote support session tracking to be imported into a ticket.
Bomgar is a great remote support platform, while designed more for enterprise the stability and feature rich hardware based system really works well, especially for managing multiple machines unattended machines at once. Integrating session information into tickets would be a great start! Looking forward to this platform being everything I need to work effectively and effciently.
1 voteWe’re declining this for now, I couldn’t even tell how much the product costs – and being appliance based probably makes them a little further down the list of potential remote support tools most shops will pick up.

Customer Phone number on the Label instead of the BarCode.
or use barcode with a number visible. the barcode is of no use to me in my one man show. :-)
1 voteThe phone is already visible – but we might still provide some options for this in the future!

More customizable numbering for invoices/estimates
We do 5000+ jobs a year and therefore need a workable numbering system for tickets/estimates/invoices. We used to prefix a document with a capital letter for the type (T for ticket, I for invoice, and E for estimate). With this system we can only use numbers and therefore had to just start with a huge number.
We picked 140001 to start with (14 for 2014) but all our docs start with that. So, ticket 140001 pairs with estimate 140022 and invoice 140036. Very confusing to pick the right job document at a glance. It would be a very big improvement…
1 voteFor now we’re going to stick to sequential numeric invoice and estimate numbers since the system tends to keep straight what kind of document you’re looking at.

website Integrations - gotoassist
I am a goto assist subscriber and would love to see the integration with the software.
1 voteWe haven’t had a lot of requests for this so we’re going to decline this for now and revisit in the future.

Is there a chance we could look up a "ticket invoice" in POS.
so payment can be taken through the POS interface. we use the xero.
1 voteThe best place for taking payment on invoices is from the Invoice > Make Payment flow.

PayPal Integration
It would be awesome if you could integrate PayPal the same way as Authorize.net for payments. Mainly for recurring payments. I use subscriptions for several clients. If RepairShopr could create, or process the payments at least, would be awesome.
1 voteBecause there are so many possible options, we’re not currently considering additional payment integrations at this time.

Can the icon for moving custom field order to be changed to something more obvious
Can the icon for moving custom field order to be changed to something more obvious? Such as a small up/down arrow. It took us ages to work out what the 3 horizontal lines button did!
1 voteGood feedback. We’ll continue to monitor to see if this is needed by others.

Tool in Spanish
I'm liking your tool and I was planing on installing this in my repair shop, however I'm in Mexico and while I can try to teach everyone what each box means it woudl be easier to have a version in Spanish available, not to mention that invoicing to my clients needs to be done in Spanish too.
I will be more than glad to help you guys with the translation if you need help!
Great tool btw, you have covered all that is needed
1 voteThanks for writing! We have made it so essentially all the customer-facing aspects of RepairShopr can be translated. Currently we’re not looking at localizing the app, though. It’s possible a ways down the road but is not currently on our roadmap. Part of this is just that we’re dedicated to excellent quality and support and we couldn’t guarantee that currently in other languages (releasing new features would also be an issue). Hope you understand..

I would love to be able to create Insurance Assessment/Quote
Would like to be able to have a button to click to create an insurance assessment with the Estimates and Invoice buttons within the ticket. so then i can change the status to Insurance Assessed and can find the Insurance Assessment with the invoices and estimates under that customer.
1 voteThis is probably farther off for us so we’re going to decline this for now and revisit in the future.

retail cost on invoice and estimate
A lot of times we are offering our products at a discount. It would be nice to be able to show in an estimate or invoice what the "retail" or MSRP price is and what the price we are charging the customer is.
1 voteWe probably won’t build this in, but you could include it in the description if you wanted to surface the information for your customers.

Integration with Sage Payment Solutions
Currently I use Sage Payment Solutions for processing credit cards (virtual terminal and swipe) and ACH payments. I looked at authorize.net but I get much better rates from Sage and would rather not change. They do have a REST API from what I can see but you have to register with them at https://www.sagepayments.net/developer/ to see if its what you guys would need.
Hopefully there is enough to get this going, if not I can always continue doing it manually. Thanks.
1 voteBecause there are so many possible options, we’re not currently considering additional payment integrations at this time.
