More customizable numbering for invoices/estimates
We do 5000+ jobs a year and therefore need a workable numbering system for tickets/estimates/invoices. We used to prefix a document with a capital letter for the type (T for ticket, I for invoice, and E for estimate). With this system we can only use numbers and therefore had to just start with a huge number.
We picked 140001 to start with (14 for 2014) but all our docs start with that. So, ticket 140001 pairs with estimate 140022 and invoice 140036. Very confusing to pick the right job document at a glance. It would be a very big improvement…
1 voteFor now we’re going to stick to sequential numeric invoice and estimate numbers since the system tends to keep straight what kind of document you’re looking at.

Customer Phone number on the Label instead of the BarCode.
or use barcode with a number visible. the barcode is of no use to me in my one man show. :-)
1 voteThe phone is already visible – but we might still provide some options for this in the future!

CRM Integration - Autotask
Integrate and sync account and contact info from Autotask CRM. Additional "syncing" of tickets, work orders, and other system items would be great for Med/Enterprise clients and help us more effectively use both systems.
2 votesOur plan is to continue building in this direction and have these kinds of features incorporated in RepairShopr. We don’t plan to build an Autotask integration at this time.

Customizable Payment Confirmation Page
Allow for full layout and text customization on the confirmation page. For example changing "This transaction has been approved." to something a little more friendly like "Thanks, $Customer firstname$ We've received your payment." And then a button to both view/download the PDF with the PAID on it along with automatically emailing a copy of the PDF with the PAID on it anytime a invoice is paid (from here or inside the system) - using the thank you/paid email template - so instead of the 'Print this page for your records' it could say 'download this PDF for your records -…
3 votesThanks for this recommendation. We currently don’t have plans to allow customization in this way.

Memo on Estimates
When giving estimates / quotes to my customers, I sometimes like to add notes to clarify the details. I do not see a way to put these into the quote at the moment, but this would be a great help to me.
2 votesWe’ve added the ability to send a custom email with estimates and messages can also be added as line items so we’ll decline this for now.

Integration with Insighly
I would like to see some Integration with Insighly CRM. I have just started using the free version for the past few weeks and it has helped me stay VERY organized with contact information and relationships even outside of "customers". I would really love if it could integrate into Repairshopr.

integration with Producteev, or copy of their wonderful user-friendly interface
is there a way to integrate PDTV in RepairShopr?
or could we see on day their best features added to your ticket manager?what we love on Producteev is
- the clear view of all the current jobs and what's in progress
- the tags and priority features
- the comments -in-tasks feature
- the assignment feature
- the ease of the interfacewhat we hate in pdtv
- no customer managment
- no invoicing system
- it's not as great as RS :-)1 voteWe do plan an interface update but it’s a bit down the road for us.

Bomgar has a great API that would allow remote support session tracking to be imported into a ticket.
Bomgar is a great remote support platform, while designed more for enterprise the stability and feature rich hardware based system really works well, especially for managing multiple machines unattended machines at once. Integrating session information into tickets would be a great start! Looking forward to this platform being everything I need to work effectively and effciently.
1 voteWe’re declining this for now, I couldn’t even tell how much the product costs – and being appliance based probably makes them a little further down the list of potential remote support tools most shops will pick up.

implement email hosting
It would be awesome to also host email accounts for each technician with our own domain, like a "MAIL" tab that allows techs to check their email and send emails, all inside Repair Shopr. This would prevent having to have outlook running. I guess you could compare this idea with Google Apps. Something else that would streamline the process and make Repairshopr virtually the only tab you ever need open in the shop.
1 voteHey – love the enthusiasm :)
It almost makes me cry thinking about all the things that go along with this, maybe a happy medium could be adding a ‘quick email’ link to fire something off.. and then alerting on a reply
We’ll keep this here, but for now, keep your email at Google and Microsoft!

Payment Voucher Integration
Hi Troy,
I would like to suggest to have a payment voucher system in the current ticketing system.
Basically, the payment voucher can be use for our employee to claim payments made by them.
There are many instances where we as the owners and the employees make payments for business using our own money.
The money has to be claimed later on.
This payment voucher can be utilise for proper record and also accounting.Do let me know
4 votesWe don’t currently have plans to track all the expenses an accounting system would so we’re going to decline this for now.

mysqu database integration
it might be good to be able to use outside databases like for us we have MySQL servers for our website that we are able to use maybe if You can use these types of databases for your server it could eliminate on database issues maybe even lower server load on your end for managing these databases. such still using your site and service to connect an encrypted connection and be able to chose a database. Maybe it could be a used for database backup or something.
1 voteThanks!
We have a great DB setup right now at heroku.
You mean you want an API to access the data easier?

Options to change color scheme
I think it would be great to provide options to change the color scheme. I find it difficult to distinguish the buttons along the top from the black background sometimes, but it would also be nice to be able to match the colors of our company.
1 voteWe are going to be changing the color scheme of the app soon, but for now, aren’t planning on making it customizable.
Sorry about that, it could be done at some point – but for now we’ll close this one

Modify placement of customers, invoices, estimates, etc.
Just want to suggest, for workflow purposes, modify the placement of customers, estimates, invoices, tickets, etc.
For example from left to right - Customers, Estimates, Tickets, Invoices, Leads, Marketr, and so on.1 vote -
POS button colors
It would be great if the buttons can be assigned a color. Easier to identify certain groups eg: Diag Fees, Hardware, Labor and so on..

I love this software, but I do not want to use the email part of it or SMS part of it at all.
I find the whole setup very easy to use and it is exactly what I was looking for in my repair shop other than the email/SMS part of it. I call customers to discuss the repairs. If it were cheaper to use the software without the email/SMS and more transactions, I would be much more pleased.
1 voteFor the time being the pricing has very little impact from email/sms.

Additional Drop Down List (More Options)
The best invention is to let zero knowledge technician adapt to new system smoothly. I suggest make all the repeated words listed. So no need to type into the form again and again which make new technician feel horrible experience with this process.
Example: If your shop repair Samsung, Dell, Sony, Toshiba, etc, let it in the drop down list to be select. If this is 15", 13", 11" size, let the new technician select it. More systematic, we can track, at the same time get organise workshop properly and tidy.

Choose Locations for Service Calls
We have several contract customers that have 1 pot of hours, but multiple locations. It would be nice to be able to choose a certain location for the service call so that their is no confusion and still able to use the same bucket of hours.

Have subject line on Estimates the same way tickets appear to differentiate between them
When you look at a customer profile, the estimates are listed with dates and amounts, but no subject or note to tell what the estimates are for without opening them up for details. Right below that is the list of tickets which do show the subject line. Having the same type of subject field on an estimate would be helpful.
